Luz - Malefic Time

posted by Nathelis
Hello,

Luz from Nocturna is finally finished, after 54hours total of painting time.

Longest project ever, lots of new techniques, lots of fun but also times of frustration. You can have everything with a miniature like this.

I´m really glad I did it though, and the rewarding thoughts of having this beautiful miniature in my showcase will be with me for a very long time.

Please vote for this miniature if you like it:

Luz - back from the Massive Vodoo workshop

posted by Nathelis
Hi,

I´m back from the Massive Vodoo Beginners Workshop in Vienna! As I took the class the second time, I could paint what I wanted and I chose Luz and wanted to specialise on two (three) aspects:

- Leather
- True Metallic Metal
- Hair

What can I say? Roman was really helpful, he showed me a complete new way of painting leather and I was really motivated. Was a crazy weekend with over 20 hours of painting, lots of great people and meeting new and old friends.

So is it worth going to the beginners class a second time? Definately! I would say going a second time is even better!. Will be attending a third time in the future...hopefully soon.

Here are the results of the about 85% finished Luz, I will invest some  hours this week but she should be finished by end of the week. Stay tuned for that!

regards,

Daniel aka Nathelis

Luz from Nocturna, Skin WIP

posted by Nathelis
Hi folks,

long time no see :) I was quite busy with tabletop stuff and didn't  have the time and motivation for showcase work.

Anyways, I´m back with my first 70mm miniature. Lots of work...but now she is in the first stage where I can say: the skin can be shared with the public. Not 100% finished but getting closer to a really nice and smooth skin.

She should be finished in the next month...fingers crossed

IDF Tiran 5

posted by Nathelis
Hello,

I can proudly present you my first historical tank. It took me some time to research the weathering techniques for this one, but in the end it turned out to be real fun.

This should depict a Tiran 5 of the IDF around the early 1980's (the time of the yom-kippur-war).

Hi folks,

Ghorgone, Ghorgor, finished.

posted by SelektorKjulu
Hi!

It seems like it’s grown a little silent around our little blog? I don´t know why but maybe we´re all busy at the moment. But not tooooo busy because I have finished my Ghorgone from GW. And here is the bloody beast. I experimented with Vallejo rust pigments, and did my first NMM on the spear.

You can also vote for him @ CMON or Putty and Paint

It seems like i don’t hit the 8 on Cmon. I never did before.  That´s ok. It’s a gaming miniature. When the time is right i will get my well deseved 8 *smile*. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to leave a comment. bye Jürgen

  • And as we're into the games day here you have the first 2 articles about Roman's massive Diorama which got him the Slayersword. Part 1 and Part 2
  • If you're still looking for a solution to transport your figurines I have 2 options for you (and a third one will follow soon on this blog!): Go the simple route and buy a completed box (a nice review of the box hobbyzone offers) or use parts of our favorite store IKEA. (a self made, low budget box)
